In the summer of 2025, I traveled to Acadia National Park in Maine to advance my skills as a journalist. We were asked to complete three videos of our choice documenting our trip to give digital audiences a glimpse at our experiences.

For these projects, I explored Texas State University police records and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services databases for stories. Through this work, I realized every number is a person with a story to tell and I learned how to use Tableau, Data Wrapper, Flourish and OpenRefine to create visualizations for digital audiences.
